Are they selling directly? Do they collect email addresses? Are their website CMS (Content Management Systems) with many pages? What type of content do they have? Record how many pages the sites have (Check out the site maps.) Now see where they are appearing on the web. Run an inbound link check on Google search. Example: links: website URL. A strategic internet marketing plan, in general, focuses on the internet marketing strategies and programs for a certain website belonging to any online or offline business. This online plan includes developing strategies and action plans that are carefully designed to help you reach your marketing goals.

Its parts could be divided into three parts. They are the objective, the marketing strategy and the marketing tactic. Each of these parts plays a significant role to any online marketing success.

All plans start with an objective or a set of objectives. The objective answers the common question most business owners face: “How will I overcome my main marketing challenges?”

Let us say that one of your marketing challenges is how to utilize your website to promote your service and gain an increased profit rate. This will lead you to an objective that reads as: “To develop to your website’s online visibility in order to attract more visits that will soon convert to sales.”

Meanwhile, the marketing strategy defines general approaches that should be observed to attain the objective. In relation to the above-stated objective, the marketing strategies would be: improve online communication and information for your targeted audience; build general awareness of and interest in your company online; effectively communicate your website’s existence and benefits to your current and prospect clients.

These are the basic information any strategic internet marketing plan holds. Remember by strictly implementing marketing action plans that are aligned with your marketing strategies and objectives, your opportunity to business success increases.

13 AugChoosing Webinar Software

With webinars increasing in usage and profile, you might be confused about how to choose from all the different webinar software out there. Is it all basically the same? No, there are differences between the different webinar hosting vendors and their software. So you do indeed need to know what to look for.

Always look for desktop sharing in any webinar software. This is in fact one of the absolute most important parts of any webinar presentation. Desktop sharing lets you take control of another audience member’s computer desktop and open folders or move objects, and likewise they can do the same with you. All of this is predicated upon the idea that you as the host will allow it; what’s important is that you have that option. Webinars are supposed to be dynamic.

Your chosen webinar hosting vendor should also be able to integrate with all of the hottest communications and applications software like the latest and greatest IM and VoIP and e-mail programs’ options. You should not have to reinvent the wheel to get a webinar hosting vendor on your desktop. They are supposed to cater to you, remember.

You are supposed to be involved with webinars partly because of flexibility. You should be able to host a meeting at any time throughout the world. If you have a vendor who is saying that you have any limits on time of hosting or limits of global reach, you should drop them and get another vendor.

Some business owners decide to take price-per-minute deals that offer freedom from flat rates or contracts in hosting their webinars. These deals might work, but only for people who are unsure how to integrate webinars into their existing business model or people who just don’t plan to use them much. In other words, these deals have their place, but the odds are not with you. Flat rates paid up-front come with the benefit of lower cost in the long run if you use the webinar hosting service with any frequency; and if you’re not going to use it with frequency you should probably ask yourself why you are using it in the first place. Yes, webinars are pretty much an all-or-nothing thing.

Let’s be very clear: any webinar service that doesn’t offer full audio-visual integration and support is not a service that you want to be paying for. Webinars are supposed to be multimedia sensations, not just time-lagged visual post-productions or audio-dominated. You should be hearing everyone in real-time and seeing all in conjunction with all else. Do you want to be in the 21st century or not?

Webinar software should also be not only easy to use, but easy to install as well. The whole point of this technology is to make things easier, faster, and cheaper. It doesn’t do any good if this stuff is impossible to install or understand. If the software is not easy to use, it’s likely that it’s not worth using in the first place. Don’t bother with it.

02 JunNew Developments in Diamond Grinding Wheel Technology

Over 80% of all diamonds not suitable for trade as gemstones are used in various industrial tools and applications, such as the diamond grinding wheel and the diamond drill bit, and in cutting edge scientific experiments. Being the hardest mineral found on earth, these stones are precious not only for their beautiful look, but for their power and strength as tool components.

Many of these diamonds for industrial use are of the synthetic variety. Termed as High-Pressure High-Temperature or HPHT diamonds, these are manufactured in laboratories by combining carbon in high pressure in order to simulate events that take place deep underground with real diamonds. Other synthetic diamonds, called CVD diamonds, are from chemical vapor deposition. These are formed from hydrocarbon gas mixtures. Crystallizing the mixture under low pressure and energy allows the diamond to form.

Some diamonds that have come from these synthetic processes are reported to be even harder than their “natural” counterparts.

Nicknamed as “hyper-diamonds,” scientists have altered the chemical processes in their formation. This allows for even harder, stronger gems than previously thought possible.

While these synthetic diamonds are useful, there are inherent questions on whether they are as valuable as, or less valuable than naturally occurring diamonds mined from earth. However, their use in various industrial applications remains unquestioned. Streets evened out by diamond grinding wheel processes help keep roads safer. Drilling into deep underground has become easier, as harder soil and rocks are easily pierced by diamonds embedded in the drill bit.

That said, there are many companies that take advantage of these diamonds for a wide array of machines, from hydraulic machines to diamond grinding wheel machines.

30 May5 Ecommerce Design Mistakes

Every wise marketer knows that good ecommerce design is essential to the success of their web site.

Good ecommerce design ensures that your customers feel comfortable navigating around your site and it draws customers into the inner pages effortlessly, through the clever use of a subtle color scheme and well drafted sales copy.

Not everyone knows about the finer points of ecommerce design however and here are five of the most common mistakes we see being made:

Ignorance of the color wheel

You must have seen those sites for which color blending and matching is a foreign concept. I am talking about the sites that have bold, garish colors that pulsate out of your computer screen, no sign of a well thought out ecommerce design here.

You need to make use of the color wheel to investigate what colors go together or failing that, see what color schemes the highly ranked web sites in your niche have chosen for their ecommerce design and follow suit.

Slow loading pages

Nothing is more frustrating to users than waiting for web pages to load, in fact as technology improves people seem to be getting less and less patient. Internet users are quick to reach for the back button on their browsers and you need to design a fast loading site to keep their attention.

Graphics are a common cause of speed issues you need to optimise them for the web as part of your ecommerce design process using a specialist graphics package like Adobe Photoshop.

Links that go nowhere

A site that has broken links only goes towards making a bad impression and this is almost always met by the use of the back button.

It is very easy to test your links and there is really no excuse for not doing so.

Too many steps in the order process

Customers ordering on the web need to be guided towards a simple checkout process, the fewer steps toward final checkout the better.

Do not make the mistake in your ecommerce design of asking for too many personal details and make sure you reassure customers as to the security of their personal data.

Limiting your payment methods

The final common mistake in ecommerce design is that of limiting the payment methods by which your customer can settle their account.

It does not cost you any more to offer debit cards and perhaps online checks as payment methods so why limit your sales potential?

Good ecommerce design is about function as much as visual qualities. The overall guiding principle is to make your customer comfortable exploring your site through a clear, logical menu structure and intuitive design.
