Manicure is a cosmetic beauty treatment for the fingernails and hands. Manicure these days is considered as one of the significant part of beautifying a woman. The French Manicure is world famous with the influence spilling in India as well. French manicures are often more expensive than other types of manicures, and the design is either airbrushed on the nail using a stencil or painted on with nail polish, with a carefully painted line of white, or a thicker, imprecise line that is later cleaned up with nail polish remover. Do it yourself french manicures can also be done at home by using stencils to apply nail polish. The nails are basically shaped oval to soften the edges and are painted with a light pink coat whereas the tips are painted with a thin edged coat of bright white nail paint.

One needs to be careful that the white edge is not too thick, which kills the authentic look. French manicure is a style of shaping the nails and painting them with pink and white paint. There are basically two procedures depending on whether you are going to go in for a French Manicure for natural nails or the acrylic nails. Overall, the manicure gives a super-natural look and apt for all types of occasions, be it professional or social. Getting a manicure at a salon is the best way to achieve the proper look, but its very much possible to try it at home too. If you apply french manicure Process wash your hand thoroughly and soak in lukewarm water for a few minutes. Gently push the cuticles back in place for evenness. File your nails in a curved shape using the nail filer, scissors etc.

French Maincure Apply Tips

1. Before beginning, wash your nails thoroughly, even with the polish on your fingernails.

2. Use a cotton swab dipped in alcohol or nail polish remover to clean the surface of your nails before you paint.

3. Use brush to round out the V shaped angle formed where the two strokes converge at the center of the nail.

4. Apply a base coat to smoothen out the nails’ ridges, allowing polish to go on more evenly.

5. Try mostly to get your nails clean underneath your nail cartilage where it is not attached to the skin before beginning.

6. Apply cuticle remover by following the directions on the cuticle remover tube or bottle.

7. Prevents nail damages like splits, tears, and fragile tips.

8. The final step is to apply lotion. This can be done if time permits. Nails need to be completely dry.

Nailympics, commonly known as Olympic Games of fake nails, is held annually in London. This event attracts considerable attention of worldwide top manicurists who gather here to compete with one another in team. They have opportunity not only to create unique nails but show their skill in the art of nail making as well. In addition to basic acrylic pieces as extensions to natural nails, manicurists use airbrushing, the embedding of jewels and other trinkets. Especially, pagodas, forest landscapes, fairies or even flashing lights which are powered by tiny batteries strapped to the wrist are decorated on the fingernails.

This year’s event attracted 354 competitors from 24 countries. All of them have been training for years with the hope of winning the highest rankings. Carmelina Gandolfo, aged 32 from Italy, shared his thought: “This is one of the most important competitions in the world. You come to demonstrate your skill and show what your country can offer”. 30,000 visitors had the chances to admire various designs of nails in the 6th Nailympics. Beside England, Japan, Korea, China, Russia, the U.S. and Hungary dominate in this field.

For nails to be healthy your diet should include plenty of raw fruits and vegetables so they can get the necessary vitamins, minerals and enzymes. Eat foods rich in silicon like broccoli, fish and onions. Eat foods like whole grains Biotins. Drink plenty of water and juices of other fruits.

Foods rich in zinc and B vitamins to strengthen nails. Fresh carrot juice rich in calcium and phosphorous is perfect for strengthening nails. For the purpose, it is necessary to carry out certain actions, such as cleaning of fingernails on a regular basis, treating the cuticles properly and keep the nails well moisturized. Go through the advice of hand care and nail below to learn more about how to keep your nails well-nourished and full of healthy shine.

The nails are the representatives of our hands as when someone looks at his hands the most noticeable feature are the nails.

The nails need care and attention to look beautiful and healthy. If the nails are cleaned regularly become more prominent and clear.

Maintaining healthy natural nails is not as complicated as many may think. As with hair, nails are generally healthier in its natural state, which requires a bit of nail polish for protection and regular applications of hand cream as a moisturizer.

Treatment for Nail Care

1. Keep hands and nails well-hydrated. Moisturizers containing collagen and vitamin E are particularly good for the nails. They are most effective if it gets soaked after the nails in warm water and pat dry.

2. File nails in one direction, not back and forth.

3. Keep nails trimmed a straight line, curved or pointed, to prevent ingrown toenails. Also, do not clip your nails too short or clip on the sides.

4. Use a table has fine emery, not a metal file. Files are hard metal nails.

5. Moisturize and gently push the cuticles. Do not cut. No manicure nails too frequently or apply nail products very often.

6. If you have sensitive skin and nails look polished without perfume and formaldehyde free and acetone to remove polish.

7. If you wear nail polish, let your fingernails go “naked” for a few days each month for the air reaches them.

8. Do wear cotton lined vinyl gloves for washing dishes, cleaning work, or working in the garden.

Home Remedies for Nail Problems

1. Nail plate: This is what it looks like the nail.

2. Nail bed: This is below the nail, and the two are linked.
Capillaries in the nail bed nourish the nails and give pink.

3. The nail matrix: You do not see much of this, however, may be the most important. It is beneath the cuticle at the base of the nail. The cells of the production matrix of the nail. If the matrix is damaged, the nail will be distorted or may even stop growing altogether.

4. Lune: This is the part of the matrix can be seen. It is the middle moon-shaped at the bottom of the nail.

5. Cuticle: This fold of skin formed by dead cells, keeps foreign substances, such as the bacteria causing the infection out.

6. Nail fold: It is the crest of the skin around the nail.

Acrylic nails can be charming and delightful. They hold well and endure through the trials and tribulations of the day. This is what you want from a false fingernail, however, it can make them a little challenging to remove.

When it comes time to take off your acrylic nails, it’s important to do it properly so you protect your natural nails and cuticles. The glue used to hold acrylics is quite strong. While pulling or tugging the nail loose might be possible, it can cause problems for the surface of your natural nail.

Improper removal of acrylics can leave the natural nail damaged, chipped or peeling. It can also damage the cuticle, not to mention, ripping your nails off can be more than a little painful.

In order to remove your acrylic nails, you need to gently dissovle the glue that holds them in place. This is actually quite easy.

Start by using small scissors or nail clippers to trim the nail as short as possible. Place a clean towel or plastic bag on the surface of a table to prevent spillage or damage to the surface. Fill a small glass bowl with acetone nail polish remover; enough to cover your nails. Before you dip your hands in, use a little petroleum jelly to cover and protect the cuticles and finger tips.

Dip your fingers into the nail polish remover and allow to sit for about fifteen to twenty minutes until the glue on the nails is completely dissolved. The acrylic nails should slide off quite easily once the glue is gone.

Wash your hands thoroughly when you’re done to remove all traces of the nail polish remover. Your natural nails will likely be dull and discoloured, so you can follow up with a nice soak in some olive oil to help rehydrate them and give them a little shine. Let your nails sit in a bowl of olive oil for about twenty minutes to condition both the nails and cuticles. Follow this with a good hand moisturizer applied to the hands, nails and don’t forget the cuticles.

Artificial nails are used as a practical or decorative addition to natural nails – designed to make them more attractive, uniform and to save time. These nails are very popular with users and there are different types available including Press on nails, Acrylic nails, Wrap nails, Gel nails and many more. Whenever you use artificial nails it is best to seek professional advice on the best way to apply and remove them.

Modern Press on nails are more resilient than ever (the tips securely attach to the real nails so they won’t move, easily chip or peel, they have been known to last between 6 to 10 days) and are designed not only to provide an instant transformation, they are easy to apply (just glue them over natural nails) and come in different colours (which do not seem to fade or crack immediately), lengths and styles (for example French manicure).

They are useful if you need to save time and look professional fast.

Acrylic nails provide long nails in the fastest of time, which can be further enhanced with unique designs that can be painted onto the ‘nail canvass’, they tend to be very durable and can be applied to the nails with an acrylic brush or glued on, decide what type of shape and design as they allow the user to be as creative as they want. It is important to take care when using and look for professional advice about applying and removing this type of artificial nails.

Gel nails are a gel type substance that is applied in multiple coats, with each coat dried using a UV lamp after application, to provide a clear and glossy surface. Gel nails can give nails a natural look (but do not last as long as acrylic nails).

They can be tricky to remove if the nails have been left to grow out, find a nail technician for the best advice on application and removal of these artificial nails.

Nail wraps are the best looking type of artificial nails available, and one of the most popular too. They can be made from silk, fibre (glass) or linen which gives them a soft and flexible texture. Nail wraps are cut into a shape the user wants and glued onto the natural nail surface, once dried the wrap is buffed for a better more natural look. Using nail wraps causes the nails to become harder – as they are strengthened by the material bonding to the natural nail surface (silk nail wraps have been used to lengthen the tips of the nails). Another advantage of wrap nails is that they do not require as much maintenance as other artificial nail types and can last for up to two weeks.
