The papaya fruit got me thinking about a few things. You see, in the middle of that luscious piece of fruit there are literally dozens of little seeds.

But they all started from one tiny little seed. In fact, the whole papaya tree which contains hundreds of papaya fruit which contain hundreds of seeds, all started from one tiny little seed.

It’s really quite mind blowing, isn’t it. One seed creates a tree. One tree creates hundreds of papaya’s. And those papaya’s go on to create hundreds of trees. But let’s consider something else. Probably 99% of those seeds fail to germinate… get washed away by the rain… die before they live their full potential.

And isn’t the marketing world the same? You have to send hundreds of letters in many cases to get a response. You have to talk to a number of people to generate a sale.

Hundreds of people need to click on your Google AdWords to get a handful of people to your site… and many people need to see your site before a sale or quote is generated.

But here’s something to keep in mind. You cannot force a seed to germinate. It either does or it doesn’t. And you cannot force someone to purchase your product or service. They either will or they won’t.

You can nurture a seed. You can give it the environment it needs to grow, the same way as you nurture a client. But you cannot force. However you can decide to place more seeds. Remember, the more seeds you plant and the better you are at planting them, the more abundant your harvest will be

You may already know lots of things about sofas. Common knowledge stuff like: they are typically upholstered seating for more than one person. Or that they typically have a back and two sides and are made quite long. You may even know that they were originally developed from the French day bed. In fact, the term appears in the late part of the 17th century as a couch for reclining. Pretty cool, huh? You also probably know that most sofas have sort of a rounded look and can usually accommodate three or more people. Having said all that, did you know that sofas actually refer to something else quite interesting? I’ll tell you about that briefly just for fun and then move on to my main point, which is a brief discussion of the types of modern sofas available today.

So here’s the bit of trivia that you just can’t survive without – sofas is also a word that refers to slave soldiers who would serve in the Mali empire. Originally, this word comes from what the sofas would do, which is take care of horses. In fact, the actual translation of sofa into the English language became “keeper of the horse”. Interestingly enough, sofas also served in other empires throughout Africa.

Well, enough of the trivia. The most typical types of sofas today are also called couches. These are also known as love seats, settees, lounges, davenports, or even futons. There are others as well, but all of these common variations amount to about the same thing, but may have different configurations and origins.

Years ago I owned a second hand furniture store. I remember how strange it seemed to me when I went to purchase, what I called a couch, from a guy who was probably in his 80′s. He kept referring to the two sofas he had as divans. I kept thinking, “whatever dude.” Anyway, regardless of what he called them, I knew they were sofas and paid accordingly. Maybe he thought divans would be worth more than if he called them sofas. His choice of words certainly sounds fancier, but didn’t offer the reality of what they were.

Today’s sofas stay pretty true to the traditional notion of a couch. They are long, are meant to be sat on, rather than laid on, have side arms and a back, and come in almost every possible variety of upholstery. Leather is, of course, a very popular covering material because of its durability and natural appeal. Another popular choice today is micro fiber. These are very soft and comfortable, don’t stick to your skin, and come in many colors. Another favorite upholstery is traditional tapestry fabric. This is my personal favorite because of the rich variety of patterns and colors available.

Sofas hold an important place in just about every home and apartment in America, and most parts of the world today. It is considered an essential, and most interior designs are built around them. Regardless of the upholstery, or what the history or variations are, sofas are a mainstay and aren’t going anywhere soon. They have certainly come a long way from the wooden variety used by ancient Chinese emperors. So call them what you want, sofas are here to stay.

Homeopathic HCG (HCG drops) can be used to aid in weight loss. The study of homeopathy, the theory that “like cures like”, has been used for more than 200 years by medical professionals. In homeopathic medicine, a primary substance, such as HCG, is diluted many times so that it can provide the body with the sensation that it is receiving larger doses of the medicine while minimizing the actual amount of the active ingredient to prevent adverse reactions. The more times the original substance is diluted, the greater the strength of the results produced. Dr. Simeons theory was that the HCG was “reprogramming” the hypothalamus to provide the essential nutrients to the body, burning abnormal fat deposits found in the hips, thighs, stomach and buttocks, while curbing appetite and maintaining lean muscle mass. In this way, when combined with a very low calorie diet (VLCD), HCG “tricks” the body into maintaining structural fat, such as that which cushions organs and the bottoms of feet, while burning abnormal fat to provide the body with the energy it needs. This is why the HCG diet is only recommended for people with 15 pounds or more to lose.

It is also believed that the HCG diet can lead to a drastic change in eating habits after the regimen is complete, leading to a maintainable final weight. Dieting by itself produces very slow weight loss causing stress and often resulting in the diet being given up. With the HCG diet, not only is the hypothalamus reset to increase metabolism, but the stomach shrinks resulting in less hunger even when not on the HCG drops. While the very low calorie diet is not sustainable once weight loss has been achieved, a standard 2000 calorie diet is easily sustained, especially when three days of moderate exercise (i.e. 15-30 min of walking) are included.

HCG drops are the weight loss cure. Maintaining the weight loss is a product of the reset hypothalamus gland and changed eating habits resulting from the VLCD. While the actual cause is unknown, results in homeopathic HCG tests have been exceedingly positive and a vast majority of users that complete the diet maintain their final weight.

Turns out that the search engines as well as the ‘net surfing public prefer weblog-based websites than static, HTML-built websites. Whereas with a “normal” HTML website, these things would be tedious and time-consuming to implement, and updating it daily would be a nightmare.

Since the search engines reward websites that have fresh, continually-updated content, it’s easy to see why WordPress-based website builders are becoming more popular with each passing day.

But remember that search engines, by themselves, can’t make a purchase from your site or sign up for your newsletter; only humans can. But since people like to feel like they are part of a community, weblog-based websites tend to attract and keep people as well as the search engines. Because people are just naturally drawn to groups of other people. A static HTML built website that contains only the same articles unchanged for weeks on end, can only get but so popular.

2. No Need for an add-on CMS (Content Management System): Categories of content are automatically generated as you add content, so no having to fuss with complex CMS software; the CMS is built-in to the website already just by the fact you’re using WordPress as your web design software.
